Bristol

Bristol launch faces roughly WSW and is located opposite (east) of Bristol Ski Area, just north of South Bristol, NY. The launch is a steep slope. The site can handle SW-W winds. Altitude at launch is approx 700-800 ft above the valley LZ. The primary valley LZ is narrow into the wind but quite wide cross wind. Winds in the narrow valley often flow N or S. Under certain conditions turbulence from the ski area hill across the narrow valley may be encountered. You must be a member of the RAF (Rochester Area Fliers) hg club to fly this site. Yearly dues are $60 - short term passes are available.
