Wing Tip TIP!!

From Hang Gliding Wiki

Here is a good tip for those who don't know. Do you have a glider that constantly has a tip batten draging on the ground while it's parked and the wind blows on the wings and moves it enough to start to wear on those tips? Well rest easy Mr. Cheezy! You can simply go to the hardware store and purchase rubber tubing clear or black, but as long as the ID is wide enough so that you can just slide a piece of tubing which I cut into one inch long pieces, over every batten tip that touches the ground. Thus protecting your tips before they wear down to the point of needing replacement. The tubing is much easier to replace, and is a perfect idea to stop preventable damage.
