Please contact your Regional Directors and ask them to post their votes...
This page is intended to be a place to gather and post the votes of our Regional Directors at the Spring 2010 Board meeting. All Directors are encouraged to post their votes here. It's not clear how easy this will be, but it's a starting point. Many Directors have stated that they don't mind telling their members how they've voted, so hopefully this page will give them a mechanism to do that.
The following table is still under construction. Please check it for errors!! Thanks.

Motion to support adding a Chapter to the Torrey Pines Soaring Council. Motion introduced by Bob Kuczewski and seconded by Ken Grubbs. This motion expressed the Board's opinion that the USHPA Representative to the Torrey Pines Soaring Council should work to add one new USHPA Chapter to that Council.
This was introduced as a new qualification to be a Regional Director - specifically anyone who has been recalled (without cause) within the last 2 years is now NOT qualified to be a Regional Director. Bob Kuczewski argued that this was placing a penalty on a Director for simply losing an election. After all, a recall without cause does not mean that the Director did anything wrong.
The Accountability Amendment was proposed to allow some small number of Directors to request a roll call vote so the votes of all Directors would be on the record. Bob Kuczewski requested this in the Organization and Bylaws Committee, but the Committee Chair (Dave Wills) refused to allow it stating: "I'm not going to accept your motion. Bring it up in General Session."
At the General Session, Bob Kuczewski motioned to adopt some form of the Accountability Amendment, and the USHPA President (Lisa Tate) refused to allow it to be brought forward for discussion.
This was the original Accountability Amendment proposed in the Fall of 2009 and still has not been passed in any form:
[Article VIII, Section 13.] Conduct of Meetings:
All meetings (including Board of Director Meetings, Committee Meetings, General Membership Meetings, and others) shall be governed by Robert's Rules of Order Revised unless otherwise provided for in these By-Laws or listed specifically below:
(a) In accordance with one of the practices discussed in Robert's Rules of Order Revised, a Roll Call vote (Yeas and Nays) shall be taken if requested by any Director. The names and votes of all Directors during any such Roll Call vote shall be included in the minutes of the meeting for distribution to the general membership.
