Entry:  Where to get lessons    Blog:

where to take lessons? I have to balance between my budget, retaining my skills, distance from home, and freaking bad weather! I'll hitch hike and camp to get there and stay there, I don't care how far it is, but the freaking weather has been shutting me down. I cant wait for summer to finally settle in and all this rain quits!!!

Entry:  10 Hang gliding lessons from my first year!    Blog:

I'm just starting out. I appreciate the advice. There aren't any instructors within 4.5 hrs. from where I live in Midland, Tx. I couldn't budget the fuel cost and the lessons, so I have become a hitch hiker... I have to keep flying!

Entry:  Dune Gooning    Blog:

Anyone help on the best SS gooner? Haven't trained yet, but it looks like the novice wing I buy now will be just as much fun later, especially as I like the beach -Rainbow, Teewah not far. It deserves a thought then. Malibu 188 or Fun 190? I have seen Malibu's on u tube that look like they are flying backwards. Weigh 83kg, hook in under 90kg. Best stall characteristics an important factor? Is this why the SS reign supreme? Any preferences dune lovers who have flown them both. TIA
