Thanks SO much for posting this. One of my hg dreams is to fly greylock. I grew up just down the street from the harriman airport. Doesn't launch face east? Is it usually "on?" What's the predominant wind dir. there? please post an autumn flight with photos too!

It's very true--considering the high risk/slim margin XC flying that I've been doing over the past 470 hours / 24 months, I got off pretty easy from a very minor mishap. I've posted my subsequent flight which I did knowing my toe was already broken:

I may have located the cause of the mishap too. While I was visiting Oscar's shop I spotted the following object.........
Damn, Jonathon. I'm sorry to hear about your misadventure. But considering the risks you take and the hours you fly, this is smal;l beans even if it didn't feel like it at the time. I hope you heal quickly and get back in the air soon. Enjoyed the video, your injury notwithstanding.
