It'a a balmy 6 deg this morning (was -4) here in Fort Collins, Colorado this morning. Cloud base in the foothills area is 5900 ft. with a Northern wind coming down from Wyoming at 3 mph.
Sink coming down those canyons is rolling out at about 18 mph and can be up to 10 deg cooler than the surrounding hills.
In Estes Park it's snowy & 11 deg and can't make the Launch site even if I wanted to. Looks like it might be a while before we get to go up.
There is also some very beautiful Launch sites above and around the Red Feather Lakes, Livermore area and some landing fields between there and the foothills if you can't find lift. Be prepared for a long walk out if you choose those in between Red Feathers and 287. Note* The cell signals in the area are spotty at best.
Anyway, it's looks like we might have a long wait until we get some warmer weather.
