Patience is Part of the Package

Fri Jan 27, 2012 4:44 pm

I have been sitting here all week watching the North wind howl down the canyons. Knowing my new Sport 2 is lying untouched and poised on the shelf is not making things any easier. But there's hope according to the Soaring Predictor: supposed to switch South around noon Sunday! I had the pleasure of watching Ken Howells perform the factory checkride on my new Sport and even got to circle with him a bit near the LZ. His big grin accompanied the words "you're gonna like it!" Then I can get some photos to post up to the Org. I anticipate with great eagerness the horizontal expansion of my gliding envelope thumbsup Mr. Green drool

I feel for ya, bro, I had a similar situation. I picked up my glider on a Friday afternoon after having been on the training hills. Came back the next day, things were blown out, came back a few weeks later, blown out again, came back a few more weeks later, and finally got a mountain launch on my new glider.

It turned way too late, but at least I got a bunch of the rototilling done for the veggie garden, and cleaned up a bunch of the stuff that preys on the wife's peace of mind. That, in turn, preys on my flying peace of mind. Supposed to be flyable today, when I'm supposed to be back at work, on a short-handed week, so I can't "sick up". Hopeful for next weekend?
