Embarassed
So I get to the beach for what is supposed to be a great day for Condo Soaring and the wind never shoots up above 8-10mph...

I sit around and finally well... I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...

I'm a diehard HGr through and through but if I hadn't strapped this on? I would have had a shitty day... so thanks to a few biwingal guys I was trained and ready to go in 20min.

:::DISCLAIMER:::
I wouldn't do this anywhere else though!!! a few feet from the sand and surf and that's all my collapsible heart can take!!! surrender

Doc, living on the edge, in more ways than one.
As I type I can hear lots of growling from the other side. Now you are out of the closet it maybe wise to knock before entering HG.Org. Laughing

How did it feel? Was it easy, especially with the parglider pilots helping?

Not sure what the best way to add to this Blog:

Rad: Really it was just for the moment, and even though it WAS FUN, i couldn't see doing it anywhere else then a place like the beach.

KK: 2 Snaps and a wiggle with a giggle girl!!! Hahaha... Ok, I deserve that and more!!!

Redbeard: As you know I'm a chicken hawk!!! I'll fly anything anywhere!!!!!

TB: I know... I'm not stupid!!!!

AP:
1) it takes 15 minutes to learn Kite handling... REALLY... All those pictures where taken in a 30 min span of time.

2) the lingo associated with it was the toughest, A chords(wires), and Breakes, etc...

3) Really it's pretty simple, pull right go right, pull left go left, let go go forward, pull back stop....

4) The guys are biwingal so I was going to fly one way or the other... It was funny the way they were like "Well Soc? You wann try on the harness? And try some kite handling?" I was like: "Umm... really?" the it just happened...

5) In no way did I learn all that I need but I learned all that I needed to fly at 1 or 2 stories on a beach, soaring...

6) you know... it's flying, too...NOT high performance, safe, or adrenaline pumping BUT i did get off the ground and i did fly for 20 min. and it all happened on a beautiful full moon night, I flew into the night, and then landed as the eclipse was beginning...

Cool sounding experience! Flying in the moonlight etc...

I too would like to have a go at it, also from the relative safety of low altitude over sand. I'm sure it would feel nice, as you said, its flying thumbsup

I guess I can admit to such intentions here in the safety of your blo... 'ouch, where'd that knife come from? in my back too'...
