IMO there is another difference. I did a bit of research on this in various forums on the net and via people who know people etc.
According to people close to both the Euro and the USA company there are more to the story than what you see in the contract.
The story continues beyond the contract and apparently that's when the dispute occured. It's not like someone's the bad guy and the others are the good guys or vise versa.
I have even heard that people who used to work for the US company now fly the EURO wings instead - and they are pilots based in the US.
I hope that the EURO company makes an official statement on this to calm things down.
EDIT: I found this photo on Facebook of a Seedwings Europe Space. It was taken by someone in Michigan, USA. So someone must be importing the EURO gliders to the US?

I would never expect anyone to change the glider they are flying based on something they found out about a company after their purchase.....
That being said I would hope people that have this knowledge might use it to make decisions on future purchases......
I have purchased things from Walmart in the past myself , but not for over 15 years as I have chosen not go there due to the multiple ethical issues I have with the company.
BTW Sometimes I wish I never lived here in California (where 90% of the HG political Bullshit occurs) so I could be as upbeat and rosey as some of the people here about all these issues (IE Seedwings, Torrey, RD recall elections, Ed Levin instruction, H2's at Slide, ect, ect).I think I want to go back to Hawaii....... _________________ Help preserve Hang Gliding at Torrey Pines

The fact of the matter is this: Bob Trampeneau should have tried this in the courtroom where it belonged but instead he chose to do it in public and in the press. Most people in the states agree that he got a raw deal but whining about it in public is not the way to fix the issue. Attacking our European brethren because of the wing they choose to fly isn't just wrong, irt's BAD manners. Now an innocent pilot has been dragged thru the mud so that 2 of you can enjoy your petty little argument. You've done yourselves and this forum a disservice with your comments that could have (should have?) been made in private thru PMs. Now I suppose you'll tell me I shouldn't shop at wal-mart because you have an issue with it.
