Just an update: So far, largely through this forum and our local club we have raised over $2,500.00 for Bill! Thanks to every one of you that helped - I tried to send each of you thank you notes but gave up after a while. 
I did keep track of all your names and email addies so I imagine one day Bill will send his personal thanks.
It turns out that one of Bill legs was too badly damaged and they are going to remove it below the knee, the other is going to be fused at the ankle. So he will have a bit of hitch in his getalong. But he is in pretty good spirits considering. |
