Campers,

Bald eagles' nest, with nestlings. Berry College, Georgia, USA.
Night-vision illuminated, not visible to the eagles or humans.

That's awesome. We have bald eagles that live near our local site. Within the last year we fly with them almost every time we get some good air. It really has to be a good day for them to soar with us. They seem smaller that what I'm used to maybe they are shrinking.

The bald eagles at Decorah Iowa are back too.

http://www.decoraheaglecamalerts.com/index.htm

And a timely but sad article to forward to your hunting friends.

https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2017/mar/16/us-bald-eagles-lead-poisoning-ammunition

"...Every year, one in five condors suffers lead poisoning so severe they need treatment, she said, and although the birds are the largest flyers in North America, a fingernail’s worth of lead can kill one. Lead poisoning appears to have stalled the species’ recovery in the wild.

“This has nothing to do with people’s right to hunt,” she said. “We took lead out of gas and out of house paint. That doesn’t mean you don’t drive a car or paint your house. It’s about using something that’s safe for you and your family as well as an animal that comes upon it.”..."

Great stuff! What a privilege to fly with these animals!

Wedgetailed eagles really are BIG birds, sometimes I have to pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming..
