Im used to click on the link before the current section like in other forums and go back to the main section that shows every section of the forum...
Example..
right now, while i am writting this, i see this underneath the hanggliding.org image:
"Hang Gliding Org Forum Index -> Bug reports and requests"
So if i click on the "Hang Gliding Org Forum Index" link, i should get to the forums.php page instead of the index.php, which only shows the recent posts and all the stuff from the main page.... then i have to click the VIEW ALL FORUMS image to go where i wanted to go first.
It is just a matter of renaming links and redirecting one of them.
Another case...
lets say i am in the forums.php page.. and i enter to the "hang gliding videos" section... then if i want to go back because i want to see what is in another section, i click that link again.... and i get to the index page.
I had to create a link to the forums.php in my firefox links bar... but i am so used to click on the webstite's link that i get to the root page all the time....

You are correct, that is a useability bug. A side effect of the custom forums.php page I programmed that does not exist in phpBB. index.php *IS* the list of forums under phpBB, but not here.
Ill see what I can do.

GREAT!!!! thats much better.. thanks SG.
However ... it only works from the inside of a topic, but not from a section, (general, videos, camp fire, etc).
Still it makes a huge difference for me... thanks again. |
