This was my second flight at King Mt. and first trip to King. I really wasn't crewed and supplied to do any serious X/C this time. It was
a family trip that I was able to get away a couple days and fly. I think next year the outlaws won't even know I am in town
thumbsup Shocked

Link

The best part of the trip was when my 10 yr old grandson got to go on his first Tandem our last day!!! mosh He is hooked

awesome film it's not often I would watch a 14 minute youtube clip but I enjoyed every minute of it - turning back on task two to watch you grandson fly should give you first place in his book and thats all that counts right Smile

Rolla,

Yep, that was a fun day. That was me below you, trying to find something to leave with...
Eventually made it to 15,000'. On that day half my team took a flyer and changed our route from 1 to 3 thinking we could go farther, and the clouds looked better too...

At the flight park, John buried the power lines and took out the fence. Now there is only a small ditch row to cross next to the road... thumbsup

The Safari, 18-26th, starts next weekend, in case anyone is wondering what to do... good idea

The scale of that place blows my tiny english mind.
far and away the best vid I have enjoyed to date.
Thankyou so much.
It has it all, a little tension at take off, resolution in the climb out, epic scenery
and later letting it go to be where you want to be :> Great choices.

Thanks Windlord, I was sure hoping to get one of those big flights and make it into your neck of the woods. I hope to have my setup all
worked out by next year for sure.

Mike, that place is amazing!! The first day I went right to 16K and spent 2 hrs between 14K and 17K without trying. O2 is the next thing
to add to my flight bag!!! I kept taking off my gloves and checking my finger nails that first day. You definitely have to bring your VR over
there next year.

Great flight. Outrageously high climbs.

Is it possible to mountain launch the Millenium from the wheels?

I suppose, If you had a big enough pair Shocked

Seriously though.....it would have to be the best manicured launch possible cuz your butt is only 4" of the ground and the wing tips are
only 2.5' . It would have to be long and sloped enough to build airspeed quickly and something over 10/15mph wind speed.

I would never try it that's for sure!!

Towing on the wheels is standard ops though
