I got a Tracer 1 and I think its too wide in the chest area. I can't find the adjustment for it, is there a way to adjust the chest area on a Tracer? I got some pics here of me hanging in it. With this kind of setup I'll have too much drag.

Call Betty at High Energy and ask her about getting it modified. _________________ Paul H

kokalti,
Put on all of your cold-weather gear, and try it again.

I did and its still too lose. Why wouldn't the Tracer have a velcro adjust by the zipper like the Z5 has? [/quote] _________________ H2 |

| Acually the velcro on the Z5 allows you to get a little fatter, not much help making it smaller. But call Betty, she can probably help you out. |

I found I was getting a not-so-good fit with my Tracer that I bought 2nd hand from a similarly sized pilot. Oddly though I felt it fit too snugly around my torso and didn't put much of anything in its inner compartment due to the snug fit. Then, on a tip from a fellow pilot, I tried putting all my glider and instrument bags in the bag for my Tracer and stuffing it all into the inner compartment (using glider velcro straps internally within the compartment to keep it in place so that it does not slip down when standing/running). That did the trick! I can both put on the harness easier with all that stuff in it and zip it up during flight more easily. If you don't have much stowed in the inner, nearly full length compartment of your harness you might try doing what I did. _________________ U2 160 • Chattaroy, WA - USA |

| I can't tell from the photos .. but is your parachute installed? That may make a difference (as well as trying the other suggestions). |

Since no one said it yet... I'll be the D*** that comes out and says it...
Best solution is to get a harness that fits
Did you try this on before you bought it? _________________ Ryan Voight

The last pic looks like your main is angled forward and not straight. That indicates not enough weight forward. _________________ Aspiring Pilot for LIfe and Focused

Look at the bright side, at least that harness doesn't make you look fat... _________________ H4 + various skills (only foot-launch so far)
