Jonny Durand and Dustin Martin just broke a new world record out of Zapata, Texas!!! They just landed. It's about 470 miles; the numbers keep changing by a few miles.

Correction from Davis; Dustin went two miles further. They started final glide right next to each other. Could have held hands.
Final glide for the World Record. |

Since the distance is measured from tow release, the record is still up in the air, but one of them has it.
Mad props to WW for outgliding Moyes! At one point, they were side by side on final. Dustin went 2km further. |

| To go that far from Crestline you would have to reach the Arizona-New Mexico border on Route 66. That's incredible! Congratulations Jonny and Dustin. If it took ten hours that's 47 miles per hour! WOW. |

470 miles Sweet! I can remember Larry Tudor breaking the 200 mile mark in 1983. Jonny was flying the new Moyes Litespeed RX 3.5, and Dustin was flying a regular Wills Wing T2C 144. Carbon down tubes. _________________ Davis Straub at the Oz Report |

Glauco Pinto and Andre Wolf go for the record today. Even better looking than yesterday. I'm resting today for a chance at the record tomorrow. _________________ Davis Straub at the Oz Report |

That's incredible! Congratulations to both of them for an amazing flight. 470 miles will be tough to beat but good luck to all of the pilots. _________________ Freedom 170 FR |
