Technically it's a powered parachute that needs a Sport Pilot ticket to fly legally and an N number. Prolly has a 582 on it...

The correct term is powered parachute. Paraplane was a manufacture of powered parachutes, now out of business, but I have an old torn up one in parts next to my garage.

Is that where it crashed? Was it the same thing that took out a hot air ballon a while back? Give me an airframe any day.
