I just got an E-mail from The USHGPA stating that they had renewed the group insurance policy and that future fees would depend on reducing the number of claims made against the policy. Ah, just wondering, how many claims have been filed? Has there been that many??? _________________ Bamboo Bomber –Freeflight 17 ft STD – Cal Gliders Moth 18 ft STD - Cal Gliders 19X16 Short Keel - UP Dragonfly – Cal Gliders WindGypsy Mk 4 – Quicksilver M -Twenty years later… Wills Wing Falcon- Altair Saturn 167, Predator142. Yeah, well, they shouldn't be eating BIRDS!
I also admitted that I am responsible for the damage, and it was great to have insurance. I was just whining about having to come up with $1000 IMMEDIATELY to renew my membership. i know of lots of MEN who've caused equal, if not more, damage slamming in and gotten away with it! i haven't been following the whole ushpa insurance issues that carefully. i guess a lot's at stake right now... |

i dont know you, but this seems nuts
why on earth would anyone continue to insure you if you haven't even paid the deductible for the damage you have already caused
who do you hang out with, in 12 years no one I have flown with has done any damage to anything _________________ TSA, DHS, NDAA and SOPA Seig Heil! |

Wow, slam-in-queen!
Talk about being unable to take personal responsibility, blaming others, and making irresponsible accusations. And then blaming men.
What a completely idiotic position to take. I hope that clear thinking can prevail here. _________________ Davis Straub at the Oz Report |

I don't personally know of anyone that has caused this type of damage. A thousand bucks seems like a bargain considering the impact of this incident.
Why are you making this a man vs woman thing? That has nothing to do with it. Are you suggesting that the insurance company/USHPA is hammering you over this because you are a woman?
Sounds like a cheap lesson to me, all things considered.

I'm quite sure that Robin at the USHPA is slamming Ms. Slam-in, just because she is a women.

All it takes is just one "BIG" claim.
Wonder how the Euro and Oz crew deal with this stuff. _________________ H-4 (1976) UP Saturn 147 & UP Axis 13
