Clint (Mike's target) is a great sport. He hangs with us hangs quite a bit. He may very well be joining us on his own hang next year. We have a pretty close group of hangs and paras flying in our area. We have a lot of fun together, drive for one another, etc. Great group to be flying with. Could very well be one of the reasons Conrad got back into it. We regularly post where we're headed and encourage all pilots, hang and para, to join us. Working out pretty well.

We could use another set of racks!

Is that a hint? Wink
Scrapped plan A - plan B too - working on plan C (better, simple) - now just have to find the time to hook up with Dale. Might have to sign up for lessons to do so! Wink

And if we could have skies like that I would agree with you. If I lived there if I didn't have an Atos I may even really go for broke and have a Swift. We traveled thru Spokane a couple of years back on a trip from Mt Rainier to Yellowstone and the whole of E. Washington State, Idaho and Montana was just stunning. Not that I'm envious or anything! cuss Mr. Green

I've seen a photo but not how he's using the existing Jeep roof rack. What's holding me up is a decent wider addition to the Jeep's roof rack so that I can carry a big canoe and two kayaks on either side of it. Dale and I have been considering this, then that, etc. Latest plan is to have two racks - one using the Jeep's rack and one using a wider addition. The wider addition will be good for 6+ gliders. Using the Jeep's rack I'll be limited to 3-4 gliders max.

In the mean time I'll get with Conrad and see his setup before I settle on just how I'll modify my Jeep's roof rack. We've got the front bumper part figured out - it is the roof part that's holding us up - how best to make it so it is easy on/off.

Ditch the factory bars. They are to flimsy for a bunch of gliders & not wide enough. Get some yakima clamps & bars & you will be done.

I used my factory bars for a short time, 1 rigid & a flex didnt cut it.....
With 48" bars I can get 4 flex & or a rigid & 2 flex.
You should be able to get 54" or 60" bars on your rig.
