I am looking for a couple additional pilots to fly with in the Owens Valley during the week of July-4th. Launch would be Walts Point, with the goal being flying to Janies Ranch as many times as possible.

I typically motel it, especially for an extended trip, and also since the Owens in July can be a bit warm for camping out. Camping up top at Horseshoe Mdws isn't bad, but then you miss out on a hot shower, a soft bed, a good breakfast, and a place to plug in all your batter rechargers...

whether you have flown a 100-miler or not, this would be a great opportunity to learn from a veteran of the Valley.

If you want to learn to fly the Owens it's hard to do better than teaming up with Peter. He was flying there for years before I made my first trip and we have gone on numerous expeditions since. He's a great mentor and easy going traveler, too.

Oh, and I suspect he will be at Villa. The Dow Villa in Lone Pine.
