There are two hang gliding sites I know of close to Gunnison. Willow Creek (in the site guide) and Crested Butte. Willow is a H2 site though it can become an H4 site in strong conditions. Crested Butte is an amazing and beautiful place but it is an H4 site. There aren't too many local pilots so you definitely need to make plans ahead of time. Give Rusty Whitley a call at Gunnison Gliders (of glider bag fame). His number is 970-641-9315.
Depending on your route there are other sites along the way. _________________ Rick
