4x8,
I do not know that site, but if you have GoogleEarth (it's a free download), just navigate to see that place (or any place). GoogleEarth can find most towns and street addresses, as a starting point. There is a digital readout at the bottom of the screen which shows the longitude, latitude, and elevation of the ground, beneath the cursor (hand). Zoom in or out as needed. Put the hand exactly on launch, and record the launch altitude. Put the hand in the LZ, record that altitude, and then subtract.

Doesn't have the exact answer to your question, but a bit more info

I seem to remember them having a 600' ridge and a bunch of different training hills. |

july 16-th Yes I can help you. I am currently enrolled and taking lessons at Susqehanna. The training hill starts level then steps up to 40-ft. Then up to 125-ft.
Then up to the 150-ft. The mtn. launch is 600-ft. The instructors are awesome.
Great feedback ,direct to the point , and said in a possitive way!! |

| Hello again.........to answer your question... probably a west wind would be the best, but I'm still a rookie. I always check with my instructors Dan and Amy and defer to their experience. The training hill can also be used when the wind is blowing from the south. The training area has an area with with a south wind facing slope. I hope this helps. We trained/flew this past Wed. evening . The wind started from the north to northwest to west . By around 7-ish the wind went calm. The rest of the session was magic!!!!!!!! |
