Lets get a list going here of who wants to come tow...

There are no details yet, but lets say you could come out and either Scooter Tow (ST) or Aero Tow (AT) for a weekend if you had the ratings....
(Or maybe platform trailer towing?)

Who would need an AT clinic to get your rating?

Who has interest in an Aerobatic Clinic?

Pilots would need to commit to say 5 tows if they were not in a clinic....

(If your not familiar with New Jersualem, imagine a long unregulated runway, because that is what it is. I talk to the operations manager and let them know what are plans are and the dates we plan on being out there. We are allowed to car-camp but there are no facilities....There are hotels near by in Tracy.

I would think it would be a weekend in the next few months with a backup weekend the following...but it could be as far off as the middle of Feb...

Spread the word....

High everyone,

I'll have the "Flight Deck" and "Pay out winch" available. I'll contact Bill Cuddy to see if he can arrange or administer platform ratings and a clinic.

If we can get Dan Veneman to come out. We can all take shots of what each pilot is qualified or qualifies for...

1) Aero shot

2) Payout shot (dolly or platform launch)

3) Scooter shot (dolly or foot launch)

4) Flight Deck shot (for warm ups and PIO reduction).

We can have plenty of shots for everyones skill and skill levels.

Cheers

Or a Flight Deck? The cheapest way to create a wind tunnel.

p.s. It's always great seeing and hangin with innovators of free flight. Great seeing and finally getting to meet Brian P. in person. I forgot the other pilots name? She came over and dominated my Falcon 195. It's always cool to see other pilots you've just met show friendship and initiative to interact and play with wings. Spork was also in the house this weekend...Fun weekend! Everyone had fun and always, always learning or teaching! Sorry the air rocket fired Steve. I was looking forward to seeing you fly. The newbies were buzzin to see some free flight up close and personal.

After you guys left. I let the newbies know that royalty was in the house that day. thumbsup

I'm interested. I've flown New J previously behind both a payout winch and trike aero tow. H4, AT rated.

Note: I purchased a payout winch from Tim Morely, a winch previously used at New J with a pickup. It plugs into a Class 3 receiver. I would be willing to bring this winch, would like to get trained on the payout end of the operation, plus get some tows in. Not sure if my Suburban can be used for the winch platform with the back doors open or if we'd need a pickup truck...

A towing event sounds like a great idea. I am interested in coming up from Tehachapi to join you all.

Oh hell yes, count me in. If you have never been to a towing clinic, I would highly recommend it. One of the best times I've ever had flying. Diev does an awesome job of keeping everything moving in an orderly fashion. Can't wait mosh
