Hey there glideheads, I am camped out at Oatman Mountain near Gila Bend, AZ but I have no means of getting up to launch because the road is far too rough for my motor home. Pretty stupid huh?
I did have a nice flight here on Saturday, as did a dozen other hangies, and a nice party 'round the campfire that night. Unhappily, it rained a bit Sunday morning and you'd a thunk them guys were the Wicked Witch of the West they way they all scuttled off at the first touch of H2O.
Leaving me all alone with my hound.
My next destination is Rocky Point, Mexico where it is shaping-up as soarable Friday and Saturday at Whale Point.
Anyone brave (or foolish) enough to join me in Mexico? |

WingedGringo,
I'll take a raincheck on Xico. Gila Bend sounds like fun.
Hope you got to fly. |

| This is the time of year I am always scheming to head to Mexico. I used to drive south for three hard days but now I'm just heading one hour south of the border to Rocky Point. I am a winged gringo. |

| Hey Ole ! It was great flying with you these past few months at Mingus, Shaw Butte, and "Oatmeal". Charlie will miss Peso. Hope to catch you when and if you pass north again. We'll probably be coming back out to Oatman on Friday if we can talk you in to sticking around. Fly high, my friend. |

Andy I haven't decided where to go for next weekend. Might hang here, so to speak, or head for Rocky Point, just depending on the WX. Ian Snowball says he's up for Oatmeal too, but he has a hot little tamale down in Mexico so he could go either way.
So.. might see you sooner than later. Tell Charlie that Peso has his ballo. |
