Awesome! This was a blast last year. Count me in for sure!
Also, this is immediately preceding the Treetoppers team challenge (27th through the 3rd) which I HIGHLY recommend attending if possible. _________________ Carpool to local flying sites from Atlanta:

I am crossing my fingers to make it again this year. At this point I will not be able to commit YET.
It sure was fun last year and I hope I can go again.
I may drag someone with me this time. Just not Rex. I keed. I would love for him to go but I already know he won't.
Miss ya'll. Matt you enjoying the calendar?

Yes, very much so, thanks again.
I was in Kroger today, and I thought I'd better check. They did have all three varieties of Moe's No. 21. |

Here's some info from Stacy Murdoch, one of the co-chairs of the 2009 Women's Hang Gliding Festival...
Don't forget to register on www.hanglide.com...
Hey Guys, Happy 4th, hope you're all feeling independent:
Many of you have received the notice of the 2nd Annual LMFP Women's
Hangliding Festival Sept. 24-27. We are getting excited about the plans we
have in place for this year. You can bet Open Mike Night will happen, this
year on Friday the 25th so more people can get involved. Last year the
event was such a success, what incredible talent we have in our neat
little culture. On that note, start practicing your songs/talent/DANCES!?
and in early August I would appreciate you contacting me at
stacy@pfsbham.com so we can appear somewhat organized.
So many stories to tell of last year's fun, but wanted to highlight a few
that made the Festival super fun. The Silent Auction was great, with lots
of cool stuff offered at a value. This year we thought that we could take
advantage of many of you who have talent in the way of crafting. I've
taken pottery lessons in the past and thought I would make pottery to
auction, some of you may knit, paint, create furniture, etc. Wouldn't it
be interesting if we could share in this venue as well. Whatever you are
willing to donate would be really appreciated.
The Volunteers: WOW! What would we have done without you guys? Please
begin letting Liz know of your interest in this capacity, her email is
lfortanier@charter.net.
So, to re-cap: Thursday, Sept. 24 will include registration Meet & Greet,
serving wine and sandwiches. Friday will be Open Mike, and Saturday a big
party with catered food and a band from Birmingham. Finally, as it played
out last year, despite predictions, the Maternal Wind Goddess will offer
favorable and quite lofty air that we can all enjoy throughout the day.
More details to follow, in the interim, begin registering, singing,
crafting and promoting this special LMFP Women's HG Festival 2009.
Thanks,
Stacy Murdoch |

| Hi shanmoon. It's been a regular event the past few years and to my knowledge has been pretty successful, so I'd imagine that it's happening again this year. You might call up the LMFP office and ask. Usually Jen organizes it. |

| Sometime in August, Megret, the CSS president, will be having a women-focussed fly in at the Andy Jackson Airpark. |
