I joined this past summer, Cal. I haven't had a lot of posts. I am more of a face to face kind of person, so this medium has been difficult for me. It seems that if you are not online at the moment someone posts something you are kind of out of the loop, and everyone has already contributed within 24 hours what you might have said.
Anyhow, I love my camera, so I hope to have more interesting things to share with the group. I haven't had a real soaring flight. So maybe that will be next.

Let me encourage you to join our little HG club up in the Sequatchie valley, the Tennessee Tree Toppers!
It's arguably a better foot launch flying site than LMFP and has a very different (non-commercial) vibe.
Please feel free to come up for a site visit to check it out. It's about the same drive time as LMFP from Atlanta.

I liked your speed on approach
looks like when it was time to flare you climbed a little, then got too slow before finishing your flare, and ended up sliding it in
if it starts to climb, just hold it for an instant then push again and it will stop, if you pull back in at all youll just be too slow to flare.
all in all pretty good

Jason, my landings have always been my downfall, no pun intended. I think the video footage could help start to correct that. I am gaining a great deal of confidence just watching my own video.

John, I intend to join the Tennessee Tree Toppers as well. I may even be there this weekend. I have already been to the site, but I would really like to see people flying there. I ended up going on an off day this past fall.

Great flying with you today Theresa!!
Tomorrow is supposed to be even better, come get some more!
You guys should've stuck around...we had dinner and woodstove time in the clubhouse and it was quite wonderful. Girl scout cookies and Crown Royal after dinner!
