Thanks DaveB, that was a great video. There is part of the video that he trys to explain what it is like and says that it is so hard to articulate what it is truly like.

I had a similar problem trying to explain what it means for me to fly in one of my videos. I thought of the movie Contact when Jodie Foster is taken off into the universe and shown such beautiful things and says....They should have sent a poet.

I think though, until they invent direct brain implants it will be impossible to truly explain to our non flying friends what it is like to soar above the earth in our hang gliders. Smile

look at the IAS

at 29k it was 153 kts

60510 feet 131.5 kts and .713 mach

70000 feet 103 kts .707 mach

u2 at 70000 is 1 knot above stall and 1 knot bellow overspeed

At altitude the U2's stall speed is only 10 kts less than its maximum speed.

I think that video just sold me on a U2 ride. That looked way better than I thought. Thanks for the vid.

That's too strange Contact is one of my favorite movies as well.
