Damn it is HOT there though.
According to AccuWeather:
10am - 87° F
11am - 91° F
Noon - 95° F
1pm - 101° F
2pm - 102° F
3pm - 103° F
4pm - 104° F
5pm - 101° F
6pm - 100° F
7pm - 97° F
8pm - 94° F
9pm - 90° F
And it's the same for the whole 15 day forecast !!! Winds averaging 15 -20 mph. during the day I can't imagine living in a place like that. The streets must be like a ghost town during the afternoon, with everybody inside hugging their AC
Hell on Earth !

There is an art, it says, or rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss. … Clearly, it is this second part, the missing, which presents the difficulties. ~~~Douglas Adams |

| He posted a note about his flight on our local web board. BJ already holds the world distance record for undeclared goal in a rigid - 227 miles that he set last year at Zapata.

Slight typo. That record is for the declared, not undeclared, distance record.

Thanks for the thoughts ya'll. Been wearing lots of hangglide.org shirts around here. It's hotter than 2 moles screwing in a wool sock. 108 today I think... .I was cold at 68 degrees and 9200 today but it wasn't a good one for records. My poor Dad on the ground has to hear about it and he's gonna kill me If I don't get some beer on ice quick.
Saturday and Sunday, 25km and 50km records. They're saying it's really unusual weather to have light winds. It's been AWESOME tho! Tons of clouds and lift. It's like another planet. Anyway, thanks ya'll!
Tomorrow has some promise for going long....
This here laptop is fightin me and I don't really have internet at this roach motel place. Literally, under the pillows. I just got 2 blogs out on random stuff. Hoping to get some about the record flights soon... if I can just get these dang pictures to work.
Later!
BJ
