I work in midtown Manhattan, on the corner of 52nd and 7th, on the 14th floor, luckily right next to the window. Its been fascinating watching the snow this morning. Its been generally snowing straight up outside my window…. with a periodic rotor that comes through and smashes everything into a gazillion different directions.

The snow is awesome helping to mark the various air currents. All the rising air makes me want to fly… although its 10 degrees outside without the wind-chill factored in…. and I have no desire to fly through the lee side skyscraper turbulence that I have been witnessing…

How is this for a random post???

Pretty good as a random post. I would have been happy to throw in an "excellent" had there been video. Wink

Quit your job, move to the islands, grow a beard and sell mustache rides to the tourists.

Tanks full of fuel makes a pretty good float. Unlike empty space that can fill up with water, the wings are going to remain buoyant.

Sounds like they needed Wag to fly ahead of them and shoot the geese. cuss

Wow. It looks like everyone is safe but that's scary. Shocked
I saw the headline and expected to see fragments scattered across the river but no. They say the pilot did an extraordinary job of putting the plane down softly. Just incredible.
Yikes! I just moved to Charlotte and my GF is in NYC.
That's the flight she'll be taking when she comes down here.
At least the chances of that happening again are slim to none. Rolling Eyes

I saw this on the news tonight then thought, didn't someone post a 'Random Post' from the area! Freaky!

Amazed the plane didn't break up! To that pilot....

hail

Reports I've heard so far say no-one is hurt. I hope it stays that way!

Nope, could not see it from my building...

Is that one of the first commercial jets to land in the water and not break into multiple pieces?

Why aren't the door slides deployed on that plane?

I wonder how many people took the time to try to get their carry on luggage out while panicking to GTFO of the plane....

Now if Wagner was there, he'd be on the wing 'in-flight' taking out the Geese before the engines ingested them! Laughing

So nice to have what I can best describe as a 'feel good' news story!
