That's really cool and I'll bet he likes to do it.
However you should give him a little safety bungee and harness in case something out of your control happens.
We humans all too often put our animals in unsafe situations that they end up paying a price for as they don't know any better and are only wanting to please us!

Yup, looks like fun.....
I was once riding my bike with my dog on a leash and a car spooked him and his reaction put his foot in my spokes :-( I trough my bike and ran home carrying him to get my car and take home to the pet er.....use a rod or something to keep them away from spokes....or a bungi (of somesort) they have no choice and just do what you ask.....as cute as it looks. _________________ Diev Hart

To all the PETA representatives:
The bike trailer is a safe mode of transportation for Ulli. I take him to the park in it every day. The video is sped up first off all. I take Ulli safe paths at reasonable speed and if I have to stop suddenly he just jumps off the front and "runs out his landing". Any kind of restraint would be more dangerous for him the for same reason they don't put seat belt on motorcycles.
As far as the motorcycle goes and as I explained to ms PETA highway patrol who pulled me over once, I did not throw him on the bike ovenight. A lot of thinking went into this. I wear a dog collar on my neck attached to a carabiner extension to his harness (functional and kinky), so he is attached to me, not that he wants to go anywhere. The law states that the dog should be behind me in a container, but I disagree. (Yes I told her that). On the tank in front of me basically in my lap is the safest spot. She gave me no ticket, did not ask for any kind of ID, and then proceeded to tell me that I can get in trouble for endangerment because he is a pure bred vs. a mutt....

I do like your idea about spoke protection, I have some pieces laying around that may work.
