Was anyone there that can comment on this tragic incident with a first hand account or details? Very sorry to hear of this. My thoughts are with the pilot as he works toward recovery.

I have only heard 3rd person stories so far, and will not spread rumors here. When I get accurate info I will post it. However it happened, he, and his family will be changed forever and will have a tough road in front of them. My sympathy goes out them. Sad

We really risk a lot when flying. When we hear about those of us who've paid a hefty price it is very sobering. We take some consolation in the fact that life on the surface of this planet is a risk from day one. But, it is still quite sad when one of us has a life changing or ending accident - especially when our activities are in large part so greatly rewarding & just plain excellent fun. Guess rhat's why we're all still at it - it is worth the risk.
My heart goes out to Eric, his pals & family. I wish Eric the best and a good chance at all the fine medical advancements that may come his way over the next months/years.

This is really bad news. This pilot is a friend of mine. He has towed me up many times. A really fine expert hg pilot too. Knock on wood and pray for a miracle or the next best. Definitely puts this sport in a different light for me. Steve

We are continuing to make changes to Eric’s website so please refer to the website listed below for updates and progress to his recovery.

We have added a link that will take you to a site where comments can be posted so if you would like to send him your best wishes, I’m sure he would he appreciate hearing them.

Contributions to his recovery continue poor in so thank you very much to those of you that have donated and offered your support.

Thank you,
Marty
