I love the Seedwings centerfold ad in this month magazine! Long live Seedwings and Bob Trampenau
Current Sensor Production
The new Sensor 710 and the 610 F5 king posted models achieve the highest degree of performance in the most practical and lightest way. Sensors' are the only gliders on the market with flaps integral with the VG operation. The Sensor 710 and 610 F5 utilizes features dating back over 30 years of original research and design. The aerodynamic and robust sail with durable components insure long lasting performance. The flight envelope and performance is probably the highest compared to all gliders in or near it's class.

Johnathan,
I think your photo prompted this new disclaimer printed on the first page of the magazine:
WARNING: Hang gliding and paragliding are INHERENTLY DANGEROUS activities...
Congratulations!

Thanks Steve. But darn-nit! My Covert looks like I was doing moto-X earlier in the day. Oh snap! Moto-X; my flights; Moto-X; my flight. Really not much difference is there?
This flight was February 24th along w/ rebardan on his LS-5. We launched by the Seven Oaks Dam near Redlands, CA and were racing to Soboba. Neither of us made goal but we had fun. I left my fricking SDHC card at home but luckily, I kept a 2 or 4 GB card in my 6030 and used that in interval still mode so I could salvage something from it.

I'll be walking straight to my mail box tonight after work!
I have only seen one of those Seedwings gliders once at Wallaby Ranch and my curiosity can be dangerous to my ['unexisting'=precarious, spartan] budget but I want to know more about them.

Thanks Bob. I totally forgot that I'd sent this in along w/ two other shots from that flight and thought that everyone had PM'd each other to f-up my head (more than it already is). For public outreach I emailed the director of the Seven Oaks Dam. He seemed pretty jazzed about this so I sent him a copy of the original digital image and will forward him a copy of the magazine once I get my complimentary issues. I'd send one to my 85-year old mom but she has made it clear that she doesn't want to know.
Any other middle-aged farts out there keeping his or her flying from your elderly moms?

Yes! Mine, also 85, would be asking me to quit every time I saw her (and she doesn't live far away). I've come close to spilling the beans - so has my big mouthed brother-in-law. I suppose she or someone she knows will see my rig with the glider on top. If it's on top when I go visit her I park 2-3 blocks away.
Hey, and nice photo too! I like the new spine on the mag. Seems to have made it arrive in the mail in the best condition so far - a little stronger keel!

At 70 I no longer can classify myself as a "Middle Aged Fart" . Damn it!
However my 100 year old mother "Knows Nothing!" just like Sgt Schultz on Hogans Heros. (You have to be an old fart to understand that reference)
