#1 |
Someone stole my Enterprise Wings Foil Combat In Sacramento, CA. The glider bag was camoflage. Glider leading edge is yellow, light blue undersurface, white trailing edge. Enterprise wings logo in RED on downtubes. Non- stock mylar inserts in LE pocket. This was taken awhile back, but I just found a photo to upload. Yes, this is a very old glider. Yes I am offering a reward. And finally, yes I hate thieves. Contact owner@916-295-2705. Thanks!

Sorry to hear this. I HATE thieves too, worst form of a human being.
So If I come across this individual how would you like them delivered to you?

Saw a hang glider with a camo bag about two weeks ago at Crestline LZ. Wasn't paying attention, just noticed the camo. Try posting on Crestline forum.
Good luck..

Other than the fact that we certainly don't need the accident publicity,
let's hope for broken bones and an intact glider recovery!
What date was it taken?

those were two guys from Montana, one named Josh Winstead. I teased 'em about the bags.
"Aren't you worried a hunter's going to shoot your wing if you don't put an orange vest on it?"
They owned those wings a while (wills wings).

I will keep an eye out on my journeys as well.
FYI: Gunison Gliders is making Camo bags. Nice construction, excellent travel and water proof bag. So don't just be looking for the bag, look for the wing as well.
And I am curious. How was it stolen? is there any info you can share so this might not happen to any of us?

. Unfortunately, I had to store it at a friends home as I moved to garage-less apt. It was taken while I was away. I used poor judgement on who to leave it with. Gliders was amazingly still crisp.

thanks Mike, I couldn't post pic. Update; my local buddy said someone called trying to sell him my glider. Unfortunately, he couldn't't get a phone number. Hopefully the thief will try again. Thanks to all here for your help!

Unfortunately it's unlikely that it was stolen by someone who can fly it or even carry it properly. Hopefully they don't try to fly it, or don't sell it to some clueless person who thinks it's easy to fly.
I checked CL, backpage and ebay, but no hits.

Thanks for checking it out. I am truly touched by so many relative strangers being so concerned! We all share a love of flight, that can't be explained, or even understood by a non-flying person. I am truly grateful for the help. Also, one thing for sure, it was not a pilot who took it. Too few around, (gliders), to pull it off. Not to mention, if your gonna jack a wing, Moyes / WW/ Icaro / NW , not a 20 year old glider you can't get parts for! I don't know- I aint no thief, but I also believe in Karma...I don't want to funk up this forum any more with negative crud, so Go flying! A great man once said to me" flying is a gift, enjoy it"! Thanks again Paul

We just don't take too kindly to horse thieves and cattle rustlers.
