a fellow club member flying at Beachy Head in the UK. This is just along from the White Cliffs of Dover.
It can be a tricky site because of headland effect. Sometimes the wind will flow around the headland instead of up and over the top depending upon the sea temperature, blah blah blah. There's a pub right next to the rigging area!

Also so very proper "British" to have a pub next to launch. Seems that our California crowd who are always worrying about where their next beer is coming from can learn something here!
Beautiful video, Peanuts bet me to it 1min 52, your own personal armchair in the sky, what i love about coastal flying. _________________ Sonic 165

truly beautiful video. Thanks for sharing. I love to see far away flying sites and hope I get the chance to visit some of them....... _________________ Words are birds, thoughts are clouds, quietness is the master of all deeds....
I have to agree with all of the above. Beautiful site. Gorgeous wing. I loved the introspective moment floating above the cliffs with the vg cord barely moving in the slipstream. Great job editing too. _________________ Freedom 170 FR
I was going to mention a few things, but Cav Man beat me to it.
What a great video and looks like a great place to fly! Thanks for posting. _________________ Paul S

Scott's wing is a WW Eagle (165?) I believe.
The ATOS at the start of the video belongs to a mate.
The thing about England is that you're seldom more than 400 yards from a pub :o)
but it's an excellent facility.
Devil's Dyke is like that too. Really quite good beer.
Beachy Head is a "difficult site". It only works at particular times of the year and is very sensitive to wind direction. The escape route is to the East, (left) where the beach is better and there is a bottom landing option above the beach on the eastern side.
You're correct though. Going West (right) there's seldom any bottom landing option at all until a place called Birling Gap and people have gone into the sea.
The local club sets stringent experience restrictions on who can fly where at Beachy, generally totally ignored by foreign visitors who don't apprehend the possible dangers. _________________ "We should all have our heads examined"

The fields are looking rough with hoary dew
just about now.
Will it ever stop raining? _________________ "We should all have our heads examined"
