Mr. Green

I will add black vinyl covering. I needed something for this weekend.

The color scheme is going to be the color of my new glider.

That is a really nice rack. You are right you are going to have to cover it. Um .. not the rack but those cushions will deteriorate a lot faster than shows in the sun. Some starts in only a couple of weeks.

Carm,

I didn't realize your rack was actually padded... Smile

Regardless, my glider can slip in and out of those pads with no problem...looking forward to grabbing a handful and having a go of it!

Cool

Hey Carm,

Nice, beefy rack you got there.

J Williams is right... you'll need to cover the foam up or it will be gone quickly from the sun and glider ware.

Head on over to the following link and scroll down to the last photo.

http://www.andysparkinglot.com/tacomarack.htm

Shows a way of doubling up the foam if you so desire. But the main thing is the tape. You want 2 inch wide, 10 mil thick, "PlumBest Pipe Wrap Tape".

The stuff is bomber and has lasted over 3 seasons of brutal use and UV abuse with hard rigids grinding on it on my rig. Here's a link of the stuff you want.

http://www.plumbest.com/imported-pipe-wrap-tape-30008.html

And... you can always put your narrow wraps of flame tape over all of it when you are done.

Guys, Having seen Carms rack in person, I have to tell you, It is one of, if not the nicest racks you will ever climb onto. and that padding is sooooo soft. her rack is usually covered, you guys just got a peek cause she was changing. She says the new rule is no more than four at a time on her rack!............

Wow, nice rack Carm! I'm sure I'd be plenty comfortable taking a long bouncy ride on it. I look forward getting some use out of it one of these days. thumbsup

One problem: the pilots with the biggest and best racks always end up taking their trucks up the hill, and it looks like you can haul about 10 with that thing! Good God, SIX padded points of support?!?!
