Dear Pilots,

For past some time I am thinking of putting my home building skills to make some thing creative and interesting for pilots.
Sure I am not going to build another home made wing but a small one ( miniature gift ) that could find a place in some enthusiastic pilots home or office.
This small glider could be made of iron / wood, all iron, iron / fabric etc.
Other items could be a Cap, T Shirt, a wall décor, key chain etc.
I want pilots suggestion as to what all other related iems can be added to the list so people would like to order?
To me this seems to be a good way to fuel my expensive hobby.

Hello All,

Here are few pics of the intial work done on the HG toy, the wing span is 12" still lot of work / improvement needs to be done on it, the best part is that it glides well, so I think it would be good as a decoration and a toy that flies when towed.....!!!
It's made of recycled material...Mylar left from my previous home made HG..

I just saw an add on the window at dollar tree for a solar powered hula girl. I guess it goes on the dash and she does the hula. So how about a solar powered hang glider maybe a little smaller than what you created that flys in a circle. Mr. Green

Thanks for the appreciation..
Some paint work done using permanent marke...I still need a better pilot !!!

@ wind lord ...Namaste, can you elaborate about the truncated tips?
@Tom Emery...i will make them in bulk..but still lots of improvements to be done when I compare them with the factroy made toys....sure I will not be able to meet those standards since it is all handcrafted !!!

Sam- truncated wing tips is what your model has. Similar to the wing tips on the Predator, Saturn and TRX manufactured by UP.
It's a straight line, chopped tip from the leading edge to the traiing edge without being roached.
The paint work is looking real nice. thumbsup

Amazing work, that looks great!

One thought I have is that if you intend to have people fly it on their cars it will have to be at least somewhat weather protected. Even morning dew can be severely damaging to something not intended to get wet. Maybe you have already thought of this, just thought I'd mention my concern. I wish I had an artistic side!

@ Krizz...thanks, your concern is genuine, this was the reason that I took some time to decide about the material, it is completely weather proof.....I hope it floats well ...am still hunting for the toy pilot which goes with it...

@ Tom...will calculate the price once the hunt for the pilot is over !!

@ Jim........Thanks a lot, waiting for the results..hope it floats well with the pilot.
