Myself it's only 3 1/2 hours, find after 2 or more the neck and chest have had enough. Have had a few people ask how long can you stay up for so what better place to find out than here.
Love to hear your best effort with a few details thrown in (where, glider, harness, how was it?) and any tips for improved endurance. Kind of wondering if anyone has managed to make double figures.

About 6 1/2 to 7 hrs. Smooth coastal soaring. My Z-5 harness is very comfortable. My old Tracer with less support used to put pressure points on my shoulders. I was wearing a (lightweight) motorcycle helmet, heavier than your average hang glider helmet. I'm comfortable in the air in smooth air for hours and hours; if you aren't maybe your harness could be adjusted. Thermal flying is another story, then you find out what muscles you haven't been using enough...

Mines 5 hr's at Crestline, but could have been much longer if I hadn't have got bored or had intentionally set out to set a personal record

7 and a half hours; the day had varied conditions: ridge lift, thermals, wonder wind- real magical day. I was relatively low in air time, came down with the sun- and because my bladder was going to burst. It wasn't until I was rotated up on approach that I realized I couldn't feel my feet: they were totally asleep. Did a full no step flair- and ended up in a pile under the glider; it must have looked bizarre, going from arms up, back arched, to rag-doll....

4 hrs at Mount Greylock. Could have stayed up longer but landed due to realizing how tired and hungry I was getting.

4h20m, on my third mountain flight. My longest flight at the training hill had been just over 10 minutes, then my first mountain flight was a 17 minute extended sledder, and my second one was 30 minutes. Then the next time, I stayed up until all of the people I came with had landed, but by then a couple more had showed up, so I kept flying with them and finally went down right after they landed. This was with a Falcon 2 and a Tracer harness. That was five years ago, and I haven't reached the four hour mark since. My back gets a bit sore if I fly for a long time, but I've found that it helps to put an empty 20 oz Coke bottle behind my back on the drive home, which I can kind of roll around to do a massage thing.

when i was a h2 i stayed up for 4 hrs- mainly just because it was my last chance to double my flight time in a single flight

if i'm going xc which i do rarely i'll do 3+ hours.......otherwise after about 2 hrs i usually choose to land

5 hrs and had to pee surrender

I fly for fun, so personally, an hour or two is plenty for me. I am also very fortunate that I fly often... if I flew less often, I would probably want to launch earlier and stay up longer Mr. Green

Gotta get yer fix one way or another...

OK BS aside.

Back in the day, when Mr. Taber held "the great race" at LMFP, I ran the course3 times in one flight. I was in the air for 8hrs 55min. Got out of harness, older HES tracer, to land 3 times, but thermaled back up. Finially, with just enough lite to land near the pool/volleyball area, I came sliding in with no wind, I flared and discovered my legs were asleep. Pushed out harder belly slid in. Never forget the guy that came over and began yelling "you're not supposed to launch after sunset!" My words were simple back then, I said "Look, I launched at 1145am, ask him (pointing) he launched behind me!"

Oh, an old Axis 15 was the blade.

Now days I usually get several 6hr flights here at King over a standard XC season. I still log my flights, mostly for recall purposes, but last year I even had a 5hr flight on falcon 3 test flight......

The best flight was one of the shortest! I conned my way into a AF thunderbird air show at Shaw AFB....ah thats another story. Rolling Eyes

Two hours is my best. But I hear if you are up more than four hours you need to seek medical attention ROFL

Ran into 15-20 mph trying to get back. Scratched for a little over an hr before I gave up & landed.

Ten and a half hours a couple of times in total comfort. Many times over nine.

I was up for 3 and a half hours last week at the coast (the ridge runs for about 30 km, so there is a lot to see).

Pod harnesses, with their big front zip, are perfect for in-flight relief. It is, however, amazing how difficult it is to do one's jean's zip all the way back up afterwards. There is a technique. It can be done. Just make sure no-one is below. Wink
