They make control knobs different shapes for a reason. That yahoo apparently needs some refresher training.

Best one like that I've seen is the Robinson R22 helicopter. They had the mixture knob and the heater knob right next to each other. Pull one and the cabin gets warmer. Pull the other and it gets quieter.

Campers,
Bomber pilots routinely train for this "knap of the earth" flying. When it's that big and fast, you might want duck ! 
What never gets said when you see this video: This version of the B-52 has no ailerons. All banking is done with spoilers. You can see this big spoiler come up on one side, for some turns. You can see when the spoiler comes up on the high wing, just before the crash, as the pilot tries to level the wings. When banked up, a slipping turn reduces the effect of a spoiler, as the airflow becomes spanwise on the high wing. Beyond a certain limit, though, spoilers can't "save" an extreme bank, once a slip begins, unless the plane is high enough.
The real tragedy here is with the rest of the crew on board, and their families.

This pilot had a very bad reputation with his fellow crew members for being dangerous.
Too bad he killed others in his pursuit of stardom. Truly sad and 100% avoidable.
