Three electric riders? Wow!
That looks like one scary electric! It it a high speed off road wheelchair? it looks like you steer with differential power to the rear wheels, is that right?

Lock a diver in an empty room for an hour with three ball bearings. On your return, one will be lost, one will be broken and one will be stolen. |

Yea, but looks like he can't go far with that cord. What motors did you use, ones from the old electric lawn mowers?

Nah I used the biggest power wheelchair motors there are but with the big tires front and back and the rear tires being twice as tall as the orginal the gear ratio won't pull the front end around when it gets in a turn. That's because I put a lot of rake in the front forks so I wouldn't get high speed wobble. If it would pull it it would do about 17mph, which does't sound fast but when steering with differential steering with the joystick it's pretty quick. Hack &spark l would do about 11-12mph but it had a wider track and longer wheel base. H&Slll will be a little wider then ll and be a litle longer wheel base also. But it's gonna have a whole lot more power! 15hp in each wheel continuous with a bunch more for short bursts. It may not go far but it'll get there quick! H&S l had about a 15 mile range on flat ground but couldn't pull a hill because the tall rear wheels screwed the ratio. H&S l was 24v dc H&S lll will be 72v dc. The trick is the controller to handle that much power but I've got it figured out. It just takes $$.

Sorry I don't mean to be the first to post in a while with this monstrosity. But I thought I'd share...
Not really my ideal bike, and spent way too much money on keeping her alive. But I love her.

My daily commuter bike doesn't have a motor.
Nor does my (foldable!) chopper.

That's 4 electric bike riders on the org. I'm *sure* that HG pilots are a different sort of person to normal. I doubt that there would be more than one in 10000 random people in first world countries who ride electric, yet here we have at least 4!

Here's my self-retrieve rig. Also a good Plan B when the winter flying doesn't quite work out. Stock internals, but bigger carb, bigger header and less restrictive exhaust really made this thing come alive. No more WOT from stoplights. Right wrist control is needed to keep the nose down.
