Hello,

I am in need of a compact hang glider or similar flying device that I can use to make a fast getaway. Here are my requirements:

Portability
Must fit in backpack or on toolbelt, a dufflebag may be okay. I am okay with being pre harnessed but my arm and upper body movement must not be severely restricted, at least while I am on the ground. I need to be able to punch someone.

Deployability
I need to be able to deploy the device and be ready for takeoff, the quicker, the better. I would say 15 seconds is the maximum acceptable time.

Takeoff
I would prefer a device that can take off from ground level. However if such a device does not exist I can usually get altitude on demand as I carry a grappling hook.

Price
I would prefer to spend less than $100,000 but might be able to go higher if the device meets all requirements.

Can anyone recommend a device that meets these criteria? Doesn't necessarily need to be a hang glider, but I am trying to stay away from zipline type setups due to an unfortunate experience.

Also, can someone please tell me - how reliable are handheld GPS devices while gliding over a metropolitan area?

Sorry for all of the novice questions. I am new. Appreciate any help.

HAHAHA!

There is an escape chute that's made for the common victim of a high rise building issue like fire, earthquake, aircraft crashing into.

The user dons the rig like a backpack, clips it's ripcord to a rail or table leg and jumps. Flying one between buildings should be fun! Cool

this reminds me of a book i read called time wasting letters, some bored old fart who didnt get out much wrote letters to organisations in exactly the same manner as the above, piss taking content with a serious tone.

he then kind of reted each quip by how many reponses he could get out of them. really stringing them on.

like the one about the airial photography club where he sent them pictures of TV airials and asked to join.

it was only a matter of time before he got online. a fun read especially when finally people just wrote back

DO NOT SEND ANY MORE CORRISPONDANCE!

How many wings were designed with "punchability" in mind? Did Wills Wing overlook an important market segment?

I'm a vigilante. I dress up like a superhero, beat up bad guys, tie them up and leave them for the cops. Why? Well, first off I'm ex-military police, so I have the necessary training. Also, I'm upset with what is hapenning in my city and this country at large. I always used to complain about it and my wife was always saying "well what are you going to do about it?! She wanted me to run for political office or something. But I think the problems we face need to be solved by the people, not politics. So anyway, I feel this is my calling. There are actually a lot of people out there doing this, you may have heard of us.

Anyway, the local police are not very happy about me doing their job for them so I would like to be able to fly away. Also, one of my big challenges is finding a crime in progress that the police aren't already at. I have a police scanner but I can't beat them to the punch in a civilian vehicle, but maybe if I took to the skies I could.

Told you you wouldn't believe me. Smile
