Gunnison Gliders sells a quality vinyl bag for $125 plus shipping.

The number is 970-641-9315.

Just placed my order as well.

I loved the new WW bag the first time I folded it up in my harness. Smaller and lighter for sure. However after about 5 months it's more worn out than my old canvas WW bag was after a couple of years including a trip across the country and back!

The Gunnison bag will give me the best of both worlds.... a light bag for flying and a rugged bag for travel.

My wing is always double bagged. I can get home late and if it rains I don't have to worry about leaving it on the car overnight. I also bought one of his XC bags and it is always in my harness.

Will the vinyl all weather bag fold up enough to fit in the average harness? I have an Apco harness with a pouch inside at your back that measures 12 x 30 and about 2+ inch's deep.

I have two Rusty bags. One for my tandem and one for my U-2. He makes a quality bag and will customize it if you ask. One of the coolest things I noticed is they don't slap the roof top like stock bags do.

I agree fully! I own 2 of rusty's bags (Gunnison Gliders) and they're both awesome . One is a PVC bag that I always put on while traveling. It cuts down on UV degradation and keeps the rain and snow out. The other is an ultra light-weight nylon camoflage bag. The camo one takes up about HALF! the room of a standard WW bag so you barely notice it in your harness. It's also nice if you have to stash your glider while you hike back to your vehicle. The guy's been flying since the 70's and know's his shiz. TWO-THUMBS-UP!

I bought a Gunnison vinyl bag the same time I got my new Litesport. The original Moyes bag still looks new and other than being dirty, the Gunnison bag shows no signs of wear and I'm not gentle with it. Awesome product and worth every penny. thumbsup

I got an XC bag and a "regular" weight (not vinyl, not waterproof) bag from Gunnison. Both are excellent. He threw in two, 1 1/2" wide, 6' long tie-down straps with loops sewn into the ends, and a bunch of windstreamers of varying lengths made out of scraps (much heavier-duty, longer-lasting than normal streamer tape material) with each bag, free-of-charge.
He also seems clairvoyant: for some reason, he threw in a pair of wingtip cover bags with the second bag I bought, also for free. "Weird," I thought, "I haven't lost or worn-out any tip bags in over twenty years of flying. What's up with that?" Two weeks later, as I was packing up in a gust front, my glider blew over and my original tip bags blew off and into the damn ocean. Freaky.

Gunnison!
I got the XC bag (packs to nothing) and the White heavy duty (rainproof) one as well. I double bag the glider every time. It doesn't flop on top of the car (driving 90 MPH is not a problem), plus I feel the sail gets less pressure when strapped on top of the car since the bag supports a lot of that - nice, wide straps came free with the bags, as well as streamers, etc.
Rusty's a good guy, prices are more than fair, couldn't recommend him more.

Excellent for traveling to and from flying areas. thumbsup

Not so good for long term storage because the material doesn't allow vapor transpiration. In some storage environments the moisture can accumulate and will begin to mold. This happened to my glider awhile ago. After flying it a few times the mold disappeared.
