No flying lately so I did a quick edit using Chroma key/green screen inside PowerDirector9 as an experiment. Using a photo out my back door and some photos I had of my Malibu and one that Moyes had just test flown.
PD9? How do you like it? I'll have to buy a copy soon regardless.
Cheers, Jono
They have done a good job of not changing too much but adding things, the beta team wanted. It will take some minor learning, like no more need for color boards to space things along the main timeline. Plus you now have many many more options in profiles to produce your videos to including 1080p in my opinion a long awaited option as only the old CRT's are still interlaced.
It does give you now 100 video tracks to expand your creativity, personally I never used all of the 6 tracks with PD8 so not something I will use much. I think it is more a case of "mine is bigger than yours"
It is the only consumer video editing program that is native 64 bit and it will speed up your editing if you are running a 64 bit operating system. The main thing when you start getting creative in any video editing program you need more and more ram. A 64 bit system effectively gives you access to as much ram as you like, where a 32 bit operating system will only allocate a maximum of 2 gig of ram to any one program no matter how much ram you have on your computer. With more and more people shooting in HD it is a good thing to go to a 64 bit operating system.
Robert i am thinking that we will have to do a refresher course if the flying dosen't pick up soon.
I did go to manilla at the start of last month and we had 10 days of rain.which water loged the ground so much that there wasen't any thermals in the week after either.just had sled rides.only took me 7.5 hours to get there.oh well maybe next time
You know if it continues this bad I might have to start believing in Global warming. If we only had the last four weeks SE instead of NE, I have never seen it go this long without at least one day SE. I have had a couple of 3 week periods over the last 6 years but not 4 weeks and counting.
