That would be ironic as this guy made a fuss after witnessing an accident that we should limit certain individuals from flying because it is not safe.

That's what I'm talking about. This same pilot was verbally upset that he whacked really hard at McClure. He didn't break anything so that was good, assuming that it was open for discussion, I told him what I saw being a local and all. He turned at me and scoffed at what I respectfully saw. It was low and slow period. And he asked, " What rating are you, and how many hours?" And he was right, he had more hours than me and was a hang 3 I was only a two at the time. Well shut my mouth then. And this video I shot, was of his next flight there. It was some months later, but this was done by decisions being made. To me, hang gliding is all about decisions, and they have to be made quickly. This I can relate to from my motocross backround. You can't freeze up, and if your flight plan does not work like you expected, you need to be conitive to be able to come up with an in flight adjustment in plans that will get you to the ground safely. But I offered my advice, and he threw it back in my face. There was nothing friendly about his response. I still like the guy though I understand ultimately that he is the pilot in comand. He also will not be flying McClure anytime soon, until he can show proof of better judgement elsewhere. Preferably under instructor supervision. _________________ "Loyalty to the country always. I believe this flight was before the AGL checkpoint (wind sock). He was guessing the whole time...until he realized he was a passenger. |
