It seems like this area is pretty dry. No clubs, no instructors, no launches, few pilots...

Is there anywhere to hang glide around here? Or anyone who hang glides?

It looks like it. The only thing I pulled up when I searched "Windriders" was a HG club in Utah... that'd be a bit of a hike for me.

I wonder why it seems no one launches in South Jersey. We might not be the most hilly region around but there is the ocean and some mountain like places like the Pine Barrens.

Here are some links

You should discuss these with Bryon when you go to Ellenville. Your area is not great for newbies, but it is by no means dry. This forum is not the best place to hook up with the locals. Join the yahoo group above for quick introductions to Philly area pilots.

Thanks so much. That's a big help.
