Having paddled for two hours today, I still have to disagree. It is great cardio and builds the upper body nice, and really jives well with flying, however it doesn't do jack for the lower half.

Most pro athletes these days step outside of their respective sports and do some type of cross training.

Maybe so. But let me tell you, this is still harder than you might think. (Like professional wrestling.) Especially since I had to do two takes on the first video, because I bungled the camera on the first try. There is definitely muscle burn going on here.
